Generally speaking, Amanda Seyfried has some pretty awesome hair on the regular. Whether it's a pin-straight blowout, voluminous waves, or a sleek ponytail, she tends to keep it classically pretty. Hey, with healthy strands as long and lustrous as hers, it doesn't take much to look stunning.

But every once in a while the girl goes for a remix, and it seems a pretty plait (or two!) is her thing.

For the While We Were Young New York City premiere this week, Amanda showed up in double French braids, which were wound into a chic chignon. Our first thought? Prom!

The intricate style lent some edge to her otherwise demure look. If you're wearing something equally feminine and looking to give it a cool twist, a set of chic braids might be the answer.

If you've got a friend or sister (or mom!) who can create two precise French braids for you, we'd recommend getting on their good side from now. You'll want the style to be as secure as possible without having to lock it in with too much gel and hairspray. Consider starting with wet hair and comb a shine serum through before putting your partner to work. Then, finish by pinning the ends of the braids into a tight bun at the nape of your neck. And you're done! Sit under a hair dryer or hit your strands with a blow dryer so that your product-soaked hair doesn't drip onto your dress.

Will you give the style a try? We dare you to at least consider it!

If you're ever in a hair rut, you can always count on Rihanna for some super useful inspiration. Whether it's a new cut, color, or style idea, the bad gal's got you covered.

Being that prom is inching closer by the day, we can imagine you're already hunting for a hair idea that will surely make your beauty look memorable, so—Rihanna to the rescue yet again!

The singer and voice of Gratuity in the upcoming animated film Home, took to the set of ABC's Good Morning Americain New York City this morning, with the bounciest waves we've seen on the star. The catch? She managed to balance the voluminous coils with an unexpectedly slicked-back style in the front. Here's a close-up:

PERFECT WEARING! Beatiful woman Zoe Saldana!

She prefers blush colored dress. Her hair and necklace is stylish. She look so nice.

Just like the singer's overall style sensibility, Rihanna's 'do is equally edgy and girly, and would look great with a monochromatic mod yet feminine dress (or pantsuit!).

To get the look at home, start with a roller set then slick the hair at the front of your head back with a bristle brush and smoothing serum for a soft, not crunchy finish. Then lock it all in with lots of hairspray.

So edgy-ethereal!

The French Manicure is the ultimate classic when it comes to nail art. Whether you're heading to a wedding or a job interview, you can't go wrong with the tried-and-true white stripe. Right? But, tried-and-true can also get real boring, real fast.
